I’m A Celebrity’s Gillian McKeith has been accused of faking her fainting fit by her fellow contestants.

The TV nutritionist has been chosen by viewers to do every single Bushtucker Trial so far.

But on Sunday, she fainted after being told she had to do another trial and was treated by medics. Linford Christie took her place and scooped 12 meals for his campmates.

However McKeith’s I’m A Celebrity teammates were not convinced that her faint was the real deal.

Comedian Dom Joly said: “I smell Baftas for that faint, I really do.”

Happy Mondays frontman Shaun Ryder added: “If that was real, so are my teeth.”

“We get 12 meals and Gillian gets an Academy Award.”

Joly went on to say that she should leave the jungle because “you can’t just go on every trial and faint and then we don’t eat. It’s f***ing ridiculous.”

McKeith has annoyed show producers by breaking the rules by adding salt to her food. She also had a spat with Shaun Ryder over his smoking. He swore at her and later apologised.

McKeith said that if she was given another trial tomorrow, she will refuse to take part.

“You will need to drag me there by the hair because I won’t be going,” she said. “Who is in the power seat now?”

Meanwhile, actor Nigel Havers quit I’m A Celebrity yesterday saying that his wife would not have tolerated watching him suffer any more humiliation.
