Available from the Trashcans’ website for a while but only now getting a commercial release, In The Music picks up where the Scottish group’s last album Weightlifting left off, which is to say with another 45 minutes of grown-up, sentimental and resolutely unfashionable guitar pop. Progress is limited, but when the songs are coming through as cultured as Should I Pray?, Oranges And Apples (a tribute of sorts to Syd Barrett), more of the same will do just fine.
