Getting Around
Bus and Train
The train network, known as Irish Rail, runs through the main towns. The bus network is called Bus Eierann and covers the country comprehensively.
Car
While the public transport is good, outside of the major cities Ireland is a country best explored in a car. It will allow you to turn down quaint farm roads that lead you to nowhere in particular, but make travelling in Ireland a delight. All the major hire companies have offices dotted throughout the country.
