Foo Fighters and Paul Simon have been added to the bill at this summer’s iTunes Festival.

The US rockers were added to the 31-date festival bill last night. The US rockers will perform on July 11.

An iTunes Festival app will be introduced so fans unable to attend the London shows can watch streamed performances on their phones.

Foo Fighters Dave Grohl said: “The fact it’s going to be broadcast to so many people is really exciting because making music is more about the audience than the band sometimes.”

Ageing rocker Paul Simon, 69, will perform at the festival on July 1.
