Paul Weller, Primal Scream and Beady Eye are just some of the big name music stars billed for a charity concert to raise money for Japan’s tsunami victims.
The show which will benefit the British Red Cross Japan Tsunami appeal will also feature Richard Ashcroft, Graham Coxon and The Coral.
Weller told The Sun:
“I really wanted to do something to show solidarity and sympathy with the Japanese people. Japan is a place I’ve been to many times in the last 30 years. “I’ve made many friends there and have been treated very well.
“They are a kind race. My heart goes out to them. “
“The line-up is great for the show and it’s gonna be a brilliant night.”
Money raised will help the Red Cross attend to those in Japan who have been injured as a result of the earthquake and tsunami which have devastated the country.
The agency has already mobilised 85 teams of doctors, nurses and support staff providing first aid and healthcare.
The show will take place at London’s Brixton O2 Academy on 3 April. Tickets go on sale on Friday 25 March at 9am.
