Homicide Squad detectives have confirmed footage had captured Jill, who is originally from Ireland, walking north along Sydney Rd, Brunswick, at 1.41am, just south of where her handbag was found in a lane off Hope Street.
“All CCTV collected needs to be thoroughly analysed before detectives can make a determination on what images can be released publicly,” Victoria Police spokeswoman Sharon Darcy told News Limited.
Jill has been missing since Saturday morning when she didn’t return from a night out – she was last seen leaving Bar Etiquette around 1.30am the night before.
Her handbag was found on Monday in an area previously scoured by police.
“Police are still trying to ascertain whether the handbag was missed by police in the initial search or whether it was placed there after the initial search,” spokeswoman Sharon Darcy said.
Police, Jill’s husband Thomas and her mother, Edith McKeon, have all pleaded to the public for any information regarding her disappearance.
