Terry, the Chelsea and England defender, was hit with a racially-aggravated public order offence after allegedly shouting a racial remark to Ferdinand when their two Premier League teams met at Loftus road last October.

Terry denies the charge, which carries a maximum penalty of £2500.

The trial was delayed until after Euro 2012, when Chelsea players giving evidence on behalf of Terry, could attend.

It will take place at Westminster Magistrates’ Court from 10am and is expected to last around five days.

Terry has already lost the England captaincy over the allegation.
