2015 will be a historic year for Australian Rules Football in London. On this, the 25thanniversary of the Men’s AFL league, we will also see the first time in history that a women’s league will be operating in London.

Women’s AFL has been active and gaining momentum in London and all over the UK for the past few years, with ever growing demand and interest leading to the establishment of the first ever London women’s league.

With the first season due to start in April, teams are looking to recruit as many girls as possible to help get this great game off the ground.

AFL is excellent for fitness, great fun, and the perfect way to make mates, so if you’re new to the city or looking for a new pastime, why not give it a go? There are four women’s teams located in central London, both north and south of the river, and each invites women to come and join their training sessions.

All levels are welcome so even if you’re still feeling slightly weighed down by your Xmas pud, there’s no excuse not to give the game a try and start getting fitter.
