Kate Middleton has resigned from her job as a project manager at her parents’ online party shop, in order to prepare for her wedding to Prince William, a palace source has revealed.

According to the royal aide, the bride-to-be left her job on Friday after having handed over her work to her colleagues so that she now can fully concentrate on becoming a member of the royal family.

Kate worked as a web designer and a photographer for the website called Party Pieces. Her job also involved putting together catalogues and attending trade fairs.

Kate to wear Diana’s wedding dress?

Kate is spending a lot of time with William in their rented farmhouse in Anglesey, Wales while preparing for their new life.

“She is really throwing herself into it with gusto and energy and is an absolute pleasure to work with,” a friend told Hello Magazine.

“It is a steep learning curve and at the same time she is learning a lot about the royal family and what the future holds,” the source continued.

It’s been reported that the Queen would like to the couple to stay away from the public eye for first two years of their marriage so Prince William can focus on his post as an RAF pilot until 2013.

Kate was previously an accessories buyer for Jigsaw, before taking a job in the family party business.
