Katie Price and Alex Reid’s expected divorce announcement is put on hold as Katie tries to stop Alex from cashing in on her £40million fortune.
Yesterday news broke that an official statement, announcing their split, was in the making.
But now it’s alleged that Team Katie Price is holding it back until her fortune has been secured.
A source told The Sun: “Katie tried very hard on their holiday to make things work, but Alex didn’t want to know”.

The source explained: “It would seem he thinks he can get more out of the marriage if it collapses than if they work to save it.”
“Katie now wants to protect everything she has worked for – and that includes her children’s inheritance.”
But if cage fighter Alex is after Katie’s money, he better prepare for the fight of his life.
“If Alex thinks he is going to be set up for life with an easy settlement, he is wrong, ” the source continued.
Katie has hired celebrity solicitor Fiona Shackleton who also represented the glamour model when she divorded Peter Andre back in 2009.
Katie was snapped in public without her wedding ring yesterday.
Meanwhile, Alex Reid, who was giving a martial arts class, did not want comment on their expected split.
