Katy’s Hits

Katy Perry has arrived on Australian shores wowing fans after touching down in a private jet, then kicking off a huge run of dates in Perth. The shows promise to be visually spectacular, featuring out-of-this-world lighting, mesmerising costumes and, of course, all of Katy’s hits. Fans will be hearing their favourite songs such as ‘Firework’ and ‘California Gurls’ but also the latest releases from Katy’s fourth album Prism.

And let’s not forget one of the early hits, ‘Wake up in Las Vegas’, which was inspired by a trip Katy took to Vegas when she was 21. With her then boyfriend, she decided to pull a prank by faking a wedding. No doubt they hit the casinos after accomplishing their mischief!

Today, forward-thinking Katy may have preferred to try out a virtual wedding before visiting online casinos and playing a few games of slots or blackjack powered by Pure Microgaming. With all her travelling, Katy would probably love it if she didn’t need to leave her house in order to get hours of games and fun!

Katy’s Mammoth Tour

Having kicked off in Perth, the Australian leg of the Prismatic tour takes an odd zigzag route across the country, incorporating shows in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in no logical order… You could think that Katy didn’t quite realise how big Australia is! Success in Australia

Katy Perry boasts over 60m Twitter followers, reportedly the highest number for any individual user, and has sold over 14m albums worldwide. In Australia both her current album Prism and her previous release Teenage Dream topped the charts- she can also boast three number-one singles, with ‘I Kissed a Girl’, ‘California Gurls’ and ‘Roar’ all hitting the top spot. It is safe to say that Katy enjoys the same superstar status in Australia as she does in much of the rest of the world so perhaps it should come as no surprise that such a huge tour has all but sold out.

Pop-Up Shops

For those fans looking for even more excitement than they can get from seeing Katy live, the 30-year-old is reportedly also planning to open a pop-up shop to accompany her tour. In this shop she will be selling exclusively merchandise which is not available elsewhere and even allowing fans to access props from her last major tour. The pop-up shops will also be offering some lucky fans the chance to win tickets to see her. It will appear in Melbourne between November 12 and 18 and then in Sydney between November 22 and 28.

Talked-about Event

The Prismatic tour promises to be one of the most talked-about music events in Australia this year and will only solidify Katy’s reputation as a worldwide superstar. Fingers crossed that as many of you as possible are able to visit the pop-up shop and see her wonderful spectacle.
