On Friday, Perry’s Twitter account showed that she was only following 83 people, one down from the day before. The casualty turned out to be none other than her estranged husband Russell Brand, @rustyrockets.
Brand, however, is still following Katy Perry, @katyperry.
The move follows on news that the couple now communicate only via phone or email due to Brand’s “atrocious” behaviour.
A source told US Weekly: “He’s being so atrocious that she feels like she never really knew him.”
Recently, Perry used Twitter to thank her followers for their support after she announced that she was divorcing Russell Brand.
“I am so grateful for all the love and support I’ve had from people around the world. You guys have made my heart happy again,” Katy tweeted at the beginning of January.
It has also been revealed that Brand may be planning a new book in which intimate details about his life with Perry will be shared.
