One Twitter user tweeted: “Kelly Rowland IS DRUNK! what was that exchange Dermot?! not very professional. not very Kelly Rowland we’ve seen so far.’
Another asked: ‘Anyone else think Kelly Rowland is a little bit wired tonight? Think she may have over indulged in the Green Room.’
Rowland responded by denying any inebriation: ‘Nice try, but I wasn’t under the influence, in ANY way……….just overwelmed by the crowds cheers!’
On the show, and the subsequent follow-up The Xtra Factor, Rowland wished winner Little Mix a ‘merry frickin’ Christmas’.
She also declared her love for runner-up Marcus Collins and held on to fellow judge Gary Barlow’s shoulder as she danced her way onto the sofa to chat to hosts Caroline Flack and Olly Murs.
Meanwhile, Rowland is facing accusations that she snubbed defeated Amelia Lily on Saturday night, instead preferring to take off to watch Misha B perform at nightclub G.A.Y. in central London soon after0
Amelia, 17, was the only one of Saturday’s performers not to have an expensive stage prop. Fans claimed Kelly tried to upstage her act during their duet.
