The Lazio striker slid in the equaliser two minutes after coming on in the 69th minute.
It was a pulsating game and the Black Stars certainly played a lot better than they did in their opener to the USA, a game they lost 2-1.
Klose, who was born in Poland and is playing in his fourth finals for Germany, made his international debut in 2001 and is his country’s record scorer with 70 goals.
He has a knack of scoring important goals and has never lost a match for Germany in which he has scored.
“Welcome to the club,” Brazil legend Ronaldo tweeted. “I can only imagine your happiness!!! What a great World Cup!!!”
Germany needs at least a point in their final group game against the USA to go through.
The game will also be remembered for what has to be the jammiest goal ever scored – Mario Gotze closing his eyes and heading the ball straight down onto his knee and (somehow) into the back of the net.
