My cousin, who I already know I can travel for months on end with. Resourceful, respectable and always game for a laugh.
What was your favourite destination last year and why?
Alaska – utter wilderness
Describe the most unusual situation you’ve found yourself in while travelling.
It’s a tough choice between roasting marshmallows on flowing lava in Guatemala, or being questioned for my passport at the Peruvian border by a seven-year-old.
Name two up-and-coming destinations for 2013 and why?
Alaska and the Canadian Rockies – because they’re awesome!
If you could return to any country you’ve been to, where would it be and why?
Nepal – to trek Everest.
What’s the one thing you can’t travel without and why?
Dental floss – dental hygiene is key – and its super-strength is vital when it comes to putting up washing lines or emergency mending backpacks.
