The family of David Kime, a World War II veteran and fast-food lover, organised a trip to his favourite Burger King restaurant in Pennsylvania during the hearse’s funeral procession.
Upon reaching the drive-through, each of the 40 mourners picked up a Whopper Jr burger.
Mr Kime even had one of the burgers placed upon his coffin.
“He always lived by his own rules,” said Mr Kime’s daughter. “His version of eating healthy was the lettuce on the Whopper Jr.”
The 88-year-old vet passed away in West York, Pennsylvania.
