Lily Allen has denied rumours she is to join the X Factor judging panel.

Recent news reports have revealed that she is “80 per cent” signed up to the show.

The Smile singer has hit back at the rumours, writing on her Twitter page: “Nice to know that I’m 80% confirmed to be a judge on X Factor, anyone thinking about running it by me? Maybe that’s the 20% bit… “

She said that she could be persuaded but only if there was a “pop songs in a foreign language week”.

Piers Morgan then asked Allen: “Did Bianca Gascoigne turn it down then?”

Lily responded by writing: “Don’t be a snob Piers, it doesn’t suit you, oh wait a minute… carry on!”

Piers then wrote: “If you need some tips on how to be a talent judge, you know where to find me. (Answer: Hollywood).”

Lily ended the exchange by saying: “YOU ARE SUCH A D**K!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

No judges have been confirmed for the next series, but it is rumoured that Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue might be getting the chop.

Meanwhile, Cheryl Cole looks set to join the US panel.
