Lily Allen is pregnant with her husband, Sam Cooper, who she married at the weekend.
Although the singer’s pregnancy is yet to be officially confirmed, there was speculation among their wedding guests, who noticed a visible bump beneath her empire-line wedding dress. A friend of hers also let slip the happy couple are expecting again.
According to reports, Allen is four months pregnant.
Lilly Allen’s baby news was later confirmed by her dress designer, Delphine Manivet, following further reports that Allen’s new husband had told guests at the wedding breakfast.
Manivet said: “It’s beautiful that she is pregnant, and I am very happy for her. She is very happy about that – it is something wonderful.”
Speaking of the vintage-inspired dress, which consisted of an underdress covered by a second, lace dress, she added: “You can see of course the little stomach – it looked very cute with the dress.
“For me, and for her too, when you’re pregnant you want to show that, but also be respectful, so the dress was perfect for her for that moment.”
Allen miscarried her second baby last November when she was six-months pregnant.
Her father, actor and musician Keith Allen, escorted his radiant daughter down the aisle at St James the Great church in Cranham, near Stroud, Gloucestershire on Saturday.
Although the Smile singer wore a full veil with floral embellishments, she did not cover her face, exposing her beaming smile.
Lily clutched a bouquet of white roses and was cheered on by a crowd that had gathered outside the tiny church.
T4 presenter Miquita Oliver, a childhood friend of the star, was one of the bridesmaids.
Fewer than 100 guests attended the service, including comedians Harry Enfield and Angus Deayton, who arrived together.
There was a tight security presence as a large number of photographers captured arrivals.
The couple paid for extra policing and two roads, five footpaths and three bridleways were closed.
Lily apparently turned down £1.5 million from Hello! And £1.25m from OK! To exclusively cover her wedding to Cooper.
Instead, she kept Saturday’s ceremony strictly family and friends only.
One guest said: “Lily’s dad Keith Allen said Sam was ‘another son, an older brother to Alfie and a hugely welcome addition to the family’. Then Lily thanked Sam for putting up with her and told him he was the love of her life. There were a few tears.”
There were fears earlier this week that the couple’s big day could be ruined by the weather but the sun shone brightly.
After the service, it is understood that the newlyweds, who have been together since 2009, threw a reception for guests in the garden of their nearby country home.
The newlyweds will honeymoon at the Glastonbury festival. It’ll be muddy brilliant.
