Both Great Britain and Australia has sworn to go faster than world record pace in their duel for the team pursuit at the velodrome this evening.
The British team broke the world record in qualifying on Thursday but according to coach, Dan Hunt, and the team, they had yet more to give.
“We knew we could do 3min52seconds,” said Geraint Thomas, “But we can tidy up our act. It was not a perfect ride.”
“I thought we would have to wait a little bit longer, until the finals. We’re in a great position but the Australians will come at us with all guns blazing.”
