Preparations are under way for “all eventualities” May has said, adding that measures were being taken to counter “emerging threats such as encampment protests.”
Mrs May has said that police had arrested 100 people on suspicion of targeting the games, including many alleged ticket touts, people who had set up false ticket websites and people selling false hotel rooms too.
A list of items that will be prohibited from Olympics venues is expected to be published with the new window of ticket sales in April.
