Burberry has announced it will premiere its new collection on Twitter today, ahead of the brand’s London Fashion Week show.

Burberry will bring its Prorsurm Spring Summer runway collection to the largest online audience possible by teaming up with Twitter to develop a “Tweetwalk.”

Backstage Twitpics of every look will be taken and shared with Burberry’s followers on Twitter before the models hit the runway.

Twitter users can view images in full size using Twitter’s new media gallery.

Burberry CCO said: ’Twitter is instantaneous and I love the idea that streaming a show can be in many different forms.

“This collection is all about the most detailed hand crafted pieces and fabric innovation, creating a beautiful physical experience that is communicated digitally in dynamic and diverse ways and I love balancing those two worlds.”

In addition to its Twitter preview, Burberry will stream its show live in HD through burberry.com and Facebook.

The fashion giant is always ahead of the techno-game and has having staged 3D and shoppable livestreams in past seasons.

The Burberry Prorsurm Spring Summer show will take place in Hyde Park today and is expected to attract a host of celebrities.
