New musical, Marco Polo – which tells the story of what could be one of the great, untold romances of our time, between Marco Polo the 13th century Venetian explorer and the beautiful and strong-willed Princess Kogajin, daughter of the great Mongol Emperor Kublai Khan – is opening on 5 August 2016 for a strictly limited one month season.
This poignant East-West encounter of two lovers from different parts of the world is a timeless tale, rich in historical significance.
