London weather will be bracing today, with forecats that the UK is set to get colder and snow continues to cause travel chaos across the country.
Last night, some areas recorded temperatures as low as -20C, while London dropped to a teeth-chattering -4C. Today, nowhere is the UK is likely to get warmer than 1C.
Travel disruption shows no sign of letting up and last night yet another London bound train full of passengers was stranded overnight on the tracks, this time near Three Bridges in Kent.
London’s Gatwick airport has reopened after the heavy snow closed down operations for two days. However a spokesperson for the airport said that passengers should expect more delays and cancellations to flights, as freezing fog is forecast for today.

Heathrow and City airports in London are still experiencing disruption.
Rail services continue to be affected. In the London area Southern, Southeastern and First Capital Connect have reduced services. There are no Gatwick Express trains running and Eurostar services are severely delayed.
All trains in East Yorkshire are cancelled, and north of Glasgow there are barely any train services running.
Snow showers are easing off today, but forecasters are warning the UK to expect icy roads, making driving dangerous.
The rest of Europe is also gripped by icy weather and snow and is being blamed for 12 deaths yeaterday.
