London’s future fashion elite put their best on display last night for the MA Fashion Design and Technology Show 2011, hosted by the London College of Fashion.
Celebrites turned out in force to support the the 22 young graduate designers of womenswer, menswear and digital fashion, including Marina from Marina and the Diamonds, Jo Wood, Lulu Guiness, Grayson Perry, Harold Tillman, Jodie Harsh and Mel Blat.
The awards were held at the stunning Raphael Gallery at the V&A museum, however, more than 4500 people streamed the show live to their computers, following in the footsteps of uber designers, Giorgio Armani, Alexander McQueen and Louis Vuitton.
Matteo Molinari, 27, scooped the collection of the year award for his beautifully-tailored collection of menswear, intricately woven with hand-crafted crochet.
The MA award in media went to Shiba Huizer, Oliver Ruuger scooped the MA award in design and Marie Luzu went home with the MA award in management.
The MA graduate Show has launched the careers of several fledgling designers over the past few years, including, Nicole Murray, Manjit Deu, Hasan Hejazi and Domingo Rodriguez.
