Lord Mayor’s Show 2010
WHAT: This event has been taking place for more than 800 years – it’s ostensibly about the Mayor of London re-affirming his fealty to the Queen but, these days, it’s all about the floats and the fireworks. The afternoon has a procession of bands, acrobats and street performers, before the sky lights up later.
WHEN: November 13.
DO IT BECAUSE: This time of year, central London can appear a bit bleak, so this all-day event is a great chance to see it at its most colourful before winter really sets in.
