In previous domestic T20 tournaments it has only been Finals Day on which more than one fixture has been played in a day, but Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), the owners of Lord’s, and Middlesex CCC have organised this unique fixture as part of the Lord’s bicentenary celebrations.
All three sides will feature England internationals including Alastair Cook and Ravi Bopara (Essex), Steven Finn and Eoin Morgan (Middlesex) and Matt Prior (Sussex).
The first fixture will be between Middlesex and Essex at midday, with the second between Middlesex and Sussex getting underway at 4pm. As well as the action on the field, there will be a host of family-friendly activities on offer around the ground during the day.
MCC President and former Middlesex captain Mike Gatting said: “This is a landmark fixture for English T20 cricket and it is fitting that it will be hosted by MCC and Middlesex at a ground as special as Lord’s. With so many top quality cricketers in all three sides both matches are bound to provide some exhilarating cricket.”
The adult ticket price of £25 for the entire day represents excellent value for two games of first class T20 cricket, and with under 16 tickets available for just £5 it will make for a very affordable day out.
Tickets are priced at just £25 for adults and £5 for under 16s in any stand. To book tickets click here or call 0207 432 1000.
