Lost parakeet tells the police its home address

The colourful bird was returned safely home to its owner in the Japanese capital recently, after he chimed his address to police.

It took the feathered creature two days to reveal the details, but it was crystal clear when he finally did.

The bird’s owner, a 64-year-old woman, said she taught the address to her pet after she bought him two years ago.

She had lost another parakeet previously and wanted to ensure that it did not happen again.

The bird, now safe and sound, was captured at a nearby hotel where it was happily perching on a guest’s shoulder.
