Rock legend Lou Reed and his missus Laurie Anderson will play a concert at Sydney Opera House – but it’s only for dogs!

Music for Dogs is a high-frequency concert that will be sweet music to canines but inaudible to their owners. It will kick off on the northern boardwalk of the Opera House on June 5.

Apparently, although humans won’t be able to hear anything, you’ll be able to tell that your pet is listening by the twitching of its ears.

The show won’t be too long either, as according to Anderson, dogs don’t only have a 20-minute concentration span.

“We won’t be playing any sudden noises,” she said. “We don’t want them to get super-excited. But it’s OK with me if they run in circles.”

Barking? Yes. But we love it.

Rock on!
