Frank Zimmerman, from Barnwood in Gloucester, was arrested on August 25 by the Metropolitan Police’s Police Central eCrime Unit (PCeU). He is accused of making malicious communications.
At the time, Mensch posted a message on Twitter telling her followers that she and her children were being targeted.
“Had some morons […] threaten my children by email,” she tweeted.“
“To those who sent it; get stuffed losers. I have contacted the police via the House of Commons and the email is with them.
“I don’t bully easily, kids. Or in fact at all.”
Zimmerman has been described by his neighbours as an unemployed recluse.
