A video game player has completed Diablo III just over a month after it was released, the BBC has reported.
Not only that … wait for it … the gameboy, known as Kripparrian, completed the game on its hardest setting.
The Toronto-based player posted a video on YouTube showing the ‘hard core’ fight against Diablo, the ultimate boss in the game, meaning there was little room for error.
In Diablo III, players take on the role of the hero who has to save the mythical world of Sanctuary from an invasion of demons.
Kripparrian used a ‘hard core’ character, which only had one life. The final took him 25 minutes – completed before the release of a patch for the game which makes monsters easier to kill.
“With this patch, the bosses, the mobs, they become easier,” Kripparrian said in the video of the kill. “We didn’t want to beat it that way. We wanted to beat the game when it was hard, at the hardest point possible. So it was a race against time.”
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is what we’re leaving you with for the weekend. Happy gaming – or not.
