Happily, Asda were more than happy to refund his money and have promised to give him a goodwill gesture when he next pops into the store.

As quoted on The Guardian’s website, a spokeswoman confirmed that this was an ‘isolated incident’, and said: “It goes without saying that we’re sorry for any inconvenience caused to Mr Brown.”

TNT is fairly sure that Mr Brown will never enter his pin again without checking the amount three or four times.
