International ballet superstar, Marcelo Gomes will guest star as ‘Luca’, sharing the title role with Jonathan Ollivier and Chris Trenfield during the four week summer season at Sadler’s Wells. ‘Lana’ will be danced by Zizi Strallen and Ashley Shaw; ‘Rita’ will be performed by Katy Lowenhoff and Kate Lyons and the role of ‘Angelo’ will be shared by Liam Mower and Dominic North.
Loosely based on Bizet’s popular opera, The Car Man has one of the most thrilling and instantly recognisable scores in New Adventures’ repertory, featuring Schedrin’s powerful Carmen Suite and new arrangements of Bizet’s legendary score, by New Adventures Associate Artist, Terry Davies.
