Trinidadian police were called to the man’s home at around eight in the morning after a neighbour reported hearing a gunshot and screaming.
The 33 year old – a security guard by profession was found by police in his car bleeding profusely.
He was taken to a nearby hospital where he received medical treatment for a .38 caliber gunshot wound under a police guard.
He has subsequently been charged with carrying an illicit and concealed weapon, which is arguably the definition of adding insult to injury.
