800 amateur adventurers will be setting off on a 10,000 mile adventure to Mongolia in the world’s biggest and most outrageous charity rally.

The mass departure kicks off on Saturday morning, followed by a parade through central London. The intrepid teams teams will then then wobble south to the English Channel, turn left and drive through 15 countries to Mongolia.

Here’s the catch – the cars are all tiny and intentionally unsuitable, with very small engines. There’s no set route, no backup of any kind and every team needs to raise at least £1,000 for charity.

Most people will take between four and six weeks to reach Mongolia, but around a third of teams won’t make it all the way to the finish line. Let’s hope all the Aussies have what it takes to reach their destination – don’t let us down, kids!
