This is a photo I took last year whilst in Indonesia. This man’s name is Pak Kedai, I met him with my friend in a very run down warung (street restaurant). He is posing for this picture, pretending to be angry, I also have ones where he is beaming a big smile. This one is the most interesting, even though he is posing you can see his history in the lines of his face and the sinews of his hands, I think this photograph captured his intensity and also the hardship of living the life he does in Jakarta.
