Mystics to name new coach

The Mystics netball franchise will announce its new coach Friday morning.

The
Auckland-based team last month sacked veteran coach and former New
Zealand mentor Yvonne Willering one year into her three-year contract.

Her
Mystics finished seventh out of eight teams in the inaugural
trans-Tasman netball championship, compiling a five-win, eight-loss
record.

An extensive review found a change to the team’s coaching structure was needed following a disappointing campaign.
