The 52-year old man, who was more than a little inebriated, got off the flight from Malta at Manchester airport whereupon he stripped naked on the airport tarmac and challenged the pilot to a fight. He then continued his outrageous behaviour by urinating on the Terminal One building as well.
It is thought that the reason for his fight-seeking began on the plane when he had been swearing and abusive towards other passengers. This had forced the captain of the plane to come down the aisle mid-flight to ask him to quieten down. This request, it would seem, did not go down well.
“He must have been drunk because when he came off the plane he took his top off and shouted ‘come on then’ in a Manchester accent and was trying to get the captain to fight him,” an anonymous witness told The Mirror.
“Then he carried on taking his clothes off. I have no idea why.”
The man did put his clothes back on before walking into Terminal One where he was tasered by police.
While we can assume that the captain was none too impressed by the passenger’s antic, he was not the only one – the man’s girlfriend was equally unimpressed and made her feelings known by giving her travel companion a slap across the face for his efforts.
