After economic publication Calcalist published the list of Netanyahu’s annual expenses, the Israeli Prime Minister has been forced to put a freeze on his tax payer funded, $2600 a year ice cream deal, calling it “excessive and unacceptable”.

Netanyahu’s office has said that the minute it became aware of the list being published they swiftly moved to halt the agreement, which had been held with the Metudela ice cream store in Jerusalem.

According to Calcalist the favourite flavours of the prime minister are vanilla (predictably boring) and pistachio (which is down right nuts).

While the exposure of Netanyahu’s sweet tooth doesn’t help explain why he’s such a genuinely unpleasant human being, it does reveal a somewhat surprising personality trait about the otherwise extremely private prime minister.

It’s a wonder that when he was eating all that ice cream he didn’t get fat… Oh wait.
