New band – Kool Thing: The Berlin-based synth duo are making waves with debut TV Tower

The buzz so far The debut single, TV Tower, from this Berlin-based Irish/Aussie synth duo (Julie Chance and Jon Dark) is based around a thumping beat layered with swirling synths and Chance’s ghostly vocals.

There’s a pop sensibility that should serve them well, with a strong club vibe, but enough edge and indie curiosity to stand out from the legions indulging fascinations with the decade that style forgot for their contemporary scene offerings. Stating your zeitgeist-y-ness in your name is bold, but they’re right.
