The buzz so far One man band Andy Fosberry draws his inspirations from far and wide on his debut Variant, pulling in everything from Massive Attack-styled soundscapes on Safe And Empty to Oceansize-esque post-rock on Sixty Minutes Sixty Seconds.
It’s a fusing of attitudes and sounds that combines sample-based and performed music, and draws on influences as varied as numetal’s Deftones and electro duo Boards Of Canada. Writing, performing and recording the LP himself at his own studio – ominously titled The Graveyard – Variant is something pretty special.
