Camden Beach is returning this Friday (17 July) for six weeks with 900 square metres of shoreline and 150 tonnes of sand.

On the terrace at the Roundhouse, the beach comes with everything that you’d expect; deckchairs, beach huts, a fully stocked bar and pop up restaurants serving sausages, sea bass and fish and chips.

Visitors concerned by a lack of space have the option of hiring an eight man private beach hut with seating, tv and a few other mod cons but, at a price of £250, the free event suddenly becomes a little more costly.

Laying on the sand in summer is what many Londoners can only dream of and it beats the itchy grass available across the city’s parks.

Get there early to avoid disappointment.

Camden beach at the Roadhouse, Chalk Farm Road, London NW1 8EH until Sunday August 23.
