The globe-conquering Now! series reached volume 71 last year.
This, though, is a 25th-anniversary reissue of the compilation that launched it in late 1983.
Like most in the series, it’s a mix of gems (Tracey Ullman’s They Don’t Know, Malcolm McLaren’s effervescent Double Dutch) and rubbish, the nadir coming with not one but two tracks by the wretched Kajagoogoo.
Fun if you’re of a certain age, but mystifying if you’re too young to remember or too old to care. WILL FULFORD-JONES
