Doctor Doctor was the first single released from the Australian duo’s debut album Stadium Cake (due for UK release at the end of August on STAR HOUSE). The single gained rave reviews and was chosen as God Is In The TV’s Track Of The Day, whilst being described by Record Of The Day as “an understated gem”.
Olivia Hally and Pepita Emmerichs met in music secondary school in Melbourne, drawn together by a shared love of songs with no boundaries or expectations. The duo, now both 24, have since unveiled three EP’s, but it’s their debut album Stadium Cake, that truly showcases Hally and Emmerichs’ uniquely compelling collaboration. Recorded at Echo Lake, Nova Scotia in February and August of 2015 with Canadian producer Daniel Ledwell, Oh Pep!’s debut LP ‘Stadium Cake’ is a coming of age for the duo.
Stadium Cake follows on from what has been an incredible 18 months for Oh Pep! including the recording of an NPR Tiny Desk Concert, and single Doctor Doctor featuring in the New York Times playlist. After a recent performance at Nashville’s Americana Fest, Pop Matters stated “seeing Oh Pep! is one of those times when the crowd realizes they’re seeing future stars for the first time.”
2016 has seen the pair take to the road once more with a debut European tour, including a string of shows with Lake Street Dive and performances as Primavera Sound as well as an extensive tour of Australia.
