Seydou Diarrassouba, aged 18, from south-west London, was killed after being knifed in the heart during a fight between two groups in a sports store.

The fight broke out on Oxford Street’s branch of Foot Locker, while the road was crammed with shoppers at the Boxing Day sales.

The victim was a member of the notorious London street gang ABM, which stands for ‘All ’Bout Money’, and it was thought the killer was involved with a rival gang.

A post-mortem examination found he died from a single stab wound, reports the BBC. The four-week Old Bailey trial had heard Mr Diarrassouba received a 10cm (4in) wound from a knife which broke due to the force of the blow.

Jermaine Joseph, 23, of Tottenham, north London, has been cleared of murder and manslaughter. The court found that he had acted in self defence.
