Bob Geldof’s 22-year-old party animal daughter and her fiancé Thomas Cohen are “delighted” at the news, said a spokeswoman.
Geldof’s spokeswoman added: “Peaches Geldof and her fiance Thomas Cohen are delighted to announce that Peaches is pregnant with their first child.
‘Peaches is utterly thrilled and they have the full support of both their families who are equally excited for the baby’s arrival.”
Peaches, who has presented shows including Peaches Geldof: Teenage Mind and A Beginner’s Guide to Islam, announced she was engaged to 20-year-old Cohen, who plays in the band S.C.U.M., last month.
It was reported that the couple, who have dated for a year, were engaged for six months before they announced it.
Geldof was previously married to musician Max Drummey, but the Las Vegas drive-in marriage failed in 2009 after just six months.
After Cohen proposed, Geldof said: “We first met four years ago and we bumped into each other last Christmas (2009) on Portobello Road in Notting Hill, London, and started dating again – and that’s also where he asked me. It was romantic. I’m really happy.
“But we don’t want to get married for a couple of years yet.”
