Barrie Aburn of Dunedin was bought a pack of Dragon Sweets by his three young daughters as a birthday present.
But all was not as it seemed.
And Mr Aburn’s partner, Jacqui Hawkins, wasn’t impressed.
“I don’t find anything amusing about it at all. I find it disgusting,” she told the New Zealand Herald.
The head of the company who distributes the lollies, Dutch Rusk managing director Willem Van De Geest said he was unaware the “inappropriate” lollies existed but said they were a one-off and that it won’t happen again.
“You have to look at it two or three times to think that doesn’t look right,” he said.
