There was not one in an entire poll of 2,000 women, who was completely happy with her man.

While women admitted their partners had many positive attributes, they said common qualms were men not cleaning the loo, being lazy and being grumpy.

A good personality came top of the list of positive qualities, with 35 per cent of votes.

A sense of humour came top for a quarter of the women.

Nikki McReynolds, of Remington, which commissioned the study, said: “It seems that women are actually quite realistic on what they look for from their partner.

“Although women overlook a few common flaws from their guys, there are certain things that men just won’t get away with.”

The research said a third of women would turn a blind eye to men watching too much sport, as long as they listen when it counts.

One in five would forgive leaving the toilet seat up, but a quarter said bad dancing was forgivable.

When it came to the perfect celebrity man, footballer David Beckham came top and chef Gordon Ramsay was near the bottom of the list.

Here are the top 10 male flaws, according to the report:
1. Not getting on with her family
2. Using her toothbrush
3. Not cleaning the toilet
4. Disliking her friends
5. Not being good with kids
6. Being lazy
7. Having a huge beard that never sees a razor
8. Leaving nail clippings lying around
