Doco-maker Peter Mettler takes a low-key but effective look at the controversy surrounding the Alberta tar sands in Petropolis. It’s a film that will delight anyone who cares about the environment.
Using aerial shots of oil projects that are both beautiful and shocking, the director gets a poignant eco-message across without labouring the point.
