WHAT: Ping pong tables have been installed all over London; bats and balls are supplied so all you need to do is rock up with a mate and see who’s got the best sliced backhand.

DO IT BECAUSE: Ping pong is great fun wherever you play, but there’s an undoubted novelty in serving it up in an iconic London location, whether it’s the Tate Modern, Hyde Park or Covent Garden. If anything, it’s a pity public ping pong tables aren’t available permanently. Now there’s an idea for Boris.
