It has been posted on Youtube and shows a Grenadier guard having a bit of fun by goofing off and pirouetting on the forecourt of Buckingham Palace.
Tourists can be heard laughing in the background, with one saying: “Is he allowed to do that; I thought they had to be all serious?”
The video has been watched almost 34,000 times and has sparked controversy in the comments, with one user, mayrpfranc, writing: “My son is a Guardsman and this lad in the video has disgraced his uniform, shame on him and I hope he gets severely reprimanded!!”
The MoD was similarly narked by his actions and is investigating the stunt, believed to have happened while the Queen was away in Scotland.
The unidentified solider could face disciplinary action.
